Adding Printers and using Secure Print

How to Use Secure Print

Use a secure print queue instead of a normal print queue if you are printing sensitive information that you do not wish others to see. Secure print queues allow you to send sensitive print jobs to shared printers that cannot be retrieved without entering your pin, or passcode, at the printer.

You will need to connect to the “Secure Print” version of the printer to which you want to print. You can find instructions for doing this at the bottom of this document.

When you sent a print job to a Secure Print queue you will be prompted to enter a pin.

For Xerox printers it will look like this:

For HP printers it will look like this:

To print the job from Xerox printers:

Go to the printer and click on the icon or button that says “Jobs” or “Job Status.” You may also have to select the option “Secure Print Jobs” or “Personal and Secure Jobs” if this is not already selected.

Select your username or print job title and enter your passcode you set to release it.

To print the job from HP printers:

Look for the job listing, which may be a physical button to show the jobs or somewhere on the touch interface.
