You can also click and drag this icon from the application menu to your desktop to create a desktop shortcut or right click on the icon and choose pin to taskbar to create a taskbar shortcut.

Click the applications menu option on the left-hand side to see a list of available software to install. Installation status will show all software installed from the software center and the status of the install. Updates will show any updates for software installed from the software center.

There also three list views for the software center. Multi select view, list view, and tile view. Tile view will show application as squares and list view will show application as a list. Importantly though multi select view will let you click a checkbox next to the application to allow multiple applications to install at once. Once you check all the checkboxes next to the applications you want to install click the install selected, it’s blue and will show in the upper right, button to start all selected applications installing.

More software packages will be made available over time. If you are missing these applications (especially after receiving a computer upgrade) check the Software Center first.
