I can connect to the internet, but I see a no access message I also have issues with Microsoft applications.

This is an issue that we the IT help desk have noticed recently. The signs of this issue are in the bottom right of your computer screen you would see a no access to the internet message. You can still connect to a website through a web browser without issue, however. It would also cause Microsoft applications like word to show that you aren’t signed in or connected.

  4. The ethernet cord should be plugged in to the back of your computer. Below is a picture of the cord and what the port looks like.
  5. After you unplug the Ethernet cord and plug it back in the no access symbol should change to a connected symbol and you should be able to connect to the internet as normal.

Verification

To make sure full functionality is restored check that the no access symbol has changed to a connected symbol. Check that Microsoft applications like outlook work or teams are working correctly and that you can browse to the internet without error messages.
