How to Set Up OneDrive

Pre-Requisites

Microsoft Office 365 needs to be installed on your device.

Procedure

One Drive is similar to Box in how it functions. In addition to being able to access it from the web, you can also sync it to your computer’s file explorer.

You should already have the OneDrive app installed on your device. You can use windows search to find it by clicking on the start menu icon then typing “onedrive.”

You can hit enter or click on the OneDrive app that comes up to open it. Once it’s open, log in with your Pitt email address then multifactor authentication.

When prompted, click on the notification to open your OneDrive folder. It will now show up in your file explorer and work like other local folders on your device.

You can then click and drag or copy and paste files or folders from your computer into OneDrive, just make sure you work from the OneDrive versions in the future.
