Procedure

Since most phone communication in the ULS is done through teams it is helpful to set up a voicemail in teams for missed calls. You should be able to set up a voicemail from teams. In the upper right-hand corner of teams next to your picture or initials click the three dots and click settings.

Then click on calls.

Under the Call answering rules section change the if unanswered dropdown to voicemail. Change the Ring for this many seconds before redirecting dropdown to at least 20 seconds. You can change the Also Ring dropdown to have a call ring someone else otherwise don’t change this option.

Click on the configure voicemail button under the Voicemail section. Follow the spoken instructions to record a voicemail message.

Verification

If you call your number after setting up voicemail and you are able to leave a voicemail everything has been set up correctly.
