Adding Email addresses or Email Domains to your Safe Senders list Outlook classic

Pre-Requisites

Open the desktop outlook app to make these changes.

Procedure

If an email gets marked as spam it might get quarantined by outlook or moved to your junk email folder making it harder to locate. If you notice email from a specific address in consistently marked as spam, you can add this email or the email domain to your safe sender list. Adding an email address to your safe sender list will prevent outlook marking the email as spam.

Click on the Junk icon from the home ribbon.

From the drop-down menu select the Junk E-mail options.

In the pop-up box select the Safe Senders tab.

Click the add options on the right-hand side.

Type the email address that you don’t want blocked here and click ok. If you want all email from that domain to be on your safe senders list, just type everything after the @ symbol. For example, typing @pitt.edu would be equivalent to adding all @pitt.edu emails to your safe senders list.

Verification

You should see the email address listed as a safe sender and emails sent to you will now route to your inbox.
